MMAG has registered as an interested party with both the Private Bill Offices of the House of Commons and House of Lords in respect of the application to the Infrastructure Planning Commission for the Rookery South (Resource Recovery Facility) Order 2011. MMAG understands that the Order is subject to special parliamentary procedure and will be laid before Parliament in due course in accordance with the provisions of the Statutory Orders(Special Procedure) Acts 1945 and 1965.
We expect the Private Bill Office to advise us when the Order is brought before Parliament in order that we have the opportunity to petition and be heard.

When the Order is put before Parliament there is a limited period whereby petitions can be made and potentially a joint Committee of the House of Lords and Commons is formed to examine the Order.
