‘The Facts about Water Fluoridation’
Water fluoridation is particularly important this year because the introduction or cessation of fluoride in the water supply has now become the responsibility of local authorities under the aegis of the ‘Health and Wellbeing’ Boards. Bedford has been fluoridated for 40 years although for the past 3 years there has been a temporary halt. Prof Connett highlights why we need to be concerned, what fluoride is and how it effects the human body and animals.
Prof Connett was born and brought up in England, studied Chemistry at Cambridge and is a Professor Emeritus of St Lawrence University, New York, USA. He has been referred to as ‘the Big Gun on the global scene’ on both of the above two issues.
I do hope as many people as possible will come to these events and support us. Together, armed with this knowledge and information, we could help Bedfordshire become a healthier place in which to live.
