Widely publicised in the media, Universal Studios is considering a new site close to the parish of Marston Moreteyne. If progressed it would join the existing five entertainment and resort complexes across the globe, including Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Japan (Osaka), Universal Beijing Resort and Universal Studios Singapore.
Camcast Corporation, the parent company, has purchased a large swathe of land between Stewartby and Bedford. Such a development would be welcomed by many, bring many jobs and the associated benefits to other businesses of people visiting the area. It would of course also add to the current very live debate about infrastructure locally. Including capacity of the road network and M1 junction 13 in particular.
